Seasoned Pan-Fried Cod
This simple dry rub seasoned pan-fried cod comes together in flash and tastes like it is straight off the grill.
Ingredients :
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/8 teaspoon celery seed
- 2 (6 ounce) cod filets, patted dry
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons chopped parsley (optional)
Directions :
- Add smoked paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and celery seed to a bowl; stir until evenly combined. Season cod filets on all sides with mixture and place on a plate.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add cod and fry for 3 minutes.
- Turn filets over, add lemon juice, and fry until cod flakes easily with a fork, about 2 minutes more. Transfer to a serving plate; garnish with parsley.
